corporate events, training, entertainment
Few experiences can rival the thrill and sheer exhilaration of stalking Deer across the hills and glens of The Isle ofSkye.
We offer our corporate clients the chance to stalk with a professional deer stalker, who will guide them through their ‘shoot’ with bullet or film, whether it be a static stalk from a high seat, or a walked stalk within a good distance to take a well place ‘shot’. Hunters will be asked to prove their shooting prowess prior to "going to the hill".
The Highland terrain covers about 20,000 acres (about 31 sq. miles) and offers some exciting habitat in which to stalk, it is mostly open and can be rough or steep (or both!) and provides a perfect opportunity for team building.
Deer stalking can have an element of personal danger and all participants do so at their own risk, working as a team will make the day a lot safer and a lot more enjoyable.
Before a deer hunt meets, the Harbourer will select an individual for hunting, usually an elderly stag, a diseased hind or a weak young stag, through a carefully selective culling policy, where only the aged and poor quality animals are taken out using an accurate, high velocity rifle (does this sound like your team). This ensures better grazing for the rest of the herd and relieves pressure on the fragile plant communities of the mountain and moorland areas.
Only those stags selected by the harbourer may be shot and they are selected by for shooting mainly on the basis of age.
