There is no 'I' in team (but there is in team building)


We have all heard people talk about "working as a team", "building my team" and "being part of a team" but often there is very little "team" in "teamwork". There is more to team building.

If someone mentions Arsenal Football Club, it's Thierry Henry that comes to mind and not Arsenal's unbeaten season, a feat last achieved in 1888, not to mention the superb team building of Arsene Wenger. And if Celtic in Scotland is mentioned it's Henrik Larsson's amazing goalscoring record and not Celtic's Uefa Cup exploits or Martin O'Neill's brilliant team building? If England's Rugby World Cup triumph is discussed, everyone remembers Jonny Wilkinson's drop goal to win the cup but do they remember the names of his 14 team mates or  the great team building efforts of Clive Woodward.
